Do You Need Sports Training?

Do you play golf, tennis, or basketball? Do you like to mountain bike, ski, snowboard or surf? These sports require balance, power, flexibility, and coordination. You don’t have to be a professional in these sports to enjoy them or want to perform at your best, and be competitive. If you love to play sports or just play hard you know that being in shape allows you to enjoy your sport and do it longer. You need sports training.

Premier Fitness Camp provides training that will help you participate in the sports that you love. You may need to lose a few pounds, or improve your balance. The sports training you will experience is centered around your core. The core (abdominal and lower back) is the powerhouse of your body. Every movement starts and is generated from those muscles that make up your core.

A few things to expect from Premier Fitness Camp are training the body with multiple training methods, and a variety of techniques. You will use kettle bells, medicine balls, exercise bands, a TRX system, and even traditional weights. You will even do classes like Yoga, Aqua, Zumba and Boot Camps.

Sports Training Essentials

Sports Training requires using your body in multiple movements, more of a functional pattern. So instead of just doing a bicep curl with some dumbbells you would stand on a BOSU Ball and do your bicep curls, and add a squat to your arm curl at the same time. Now you are integrating your balance and core to stay balanced on the BOSU, and strengthening your upper body at the same time. Your body is also using more muscle groups at the same time which causes your body to burn more calories during that movement.

In any sport your body moves with multi joints meaning more than just one joint moving at a time. Your sports training should mimic multi joint movements. Your body also moves in more than one plane of motion, meaning that you not only move frontwards but backwards, sideways, and even transversely.

Creating Functional Strength

By challenging your body in these planes of motion you will create muscle memory and functional strength that will allow you to perform your sport at a higher level. The Sports Training will also help to reduce injuries. When your body is familiar to moving in multi plane motions you create strength and stability in your joints that are prepared for the quick movements your body experiences when performing.

So if you are a weekend warrior that loves to get out and push your body doing activities that you love. Or you are getting older and do not want to give up your favorite sports. Get in shape by taking time to train your body functionally and focusing on your core strength. You will enjoy your sport more than you ever have through sports training.
