How to Crush a Workout Like a PFC Trainer: Ryan’s Workout Tips

Written By admin • 1 min read

Sharing his workout tips this week is PFC Fitness Trainer, Ryan Gutierrez. Even the strongest of the strongest trainers needs to push himself to get through a workout. Keep reading to see how Ryan likes to stay motivated and tackle his fitness to the best of his ability!

1. Goal set

I set goals for myself daily, knowing what I want to accomplish. For me, strength is my number one priority in specific lifts (squat, bench, and deadlift). Being the best I can possibly be at these lifts will not only help me place higher at competition, but help me find my true strength potential and be the best I can be.

2. Visualizing

Before going to the gym I visualize how I want my workout to be, how good I am going to feel during it, and how this workout is going to impact me in the short and long run.

3. Music

Everybody has a bad day and I get it. Having music that pumps you up or puts you in a better mood is great to have. Check out my Spotify playlist on our PFC workout camp Spotify page, pfcfitnesscamp.

4. Motivational videos

Sometimes I will go on the youtubes to find a short motivational clip like the video “Mind Shift”. I definitely snap out of whatever funk that daily stress has broken me down to.

5. Having a plan

Programing is something that keeps me motivated and confident with my workouts. Knowing each exercise has a specific purpose to help a lift (squat, bench, deadlift), support joints and tendons, build muscle, lose fat, or help my endurance levels, etc., excites me! I look at it as a challenge to complete the reps and sets for each session. Not having one, I feel lost and unmotivated–always make a plan!
