What says comfort food better than a nice, hot bowl of chili? The PFC kitchen has created a healthier version of your favorite fall recipe with this Turkey Chili. Choosing turkey over beef will decrease your calorie intake and leave you feeling full and satisfied. What’s not to like about that? Discover a new, healthy way to prepare your favorite chili recipe that’s low in calories and high in flavor!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1lb Ground Lean Turkey (7% fat)
  • 1 Can Pinto Beans
  • 1 Can White Beans
  • 1 Can Kidney Beans
  • ½ Packet Chili Seasoning
  • ½ t. Crushed Garlic
  • ¼ c. Diced Onions
  • ½ T. Olive Oil
  • 1 Can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 Can Tomato Sauce

PREPARATION:

In a large saucepan, sauté olive oil, onions, and garlic until onions are brown.  Add the ground turkey and cook until turkey is browned.  Add beans, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and chilisSeasoning.  Cook on medium- low for 20 minutes. Garnish each serving with chopped scallions or your favorite chili topping and serve!
