EMOM HIIT Workout

EMOM, (aka Every Minute on the Minute), is a form of HIIT high-intensity interval training where you will be working for a short amount of time followed by a recovery period.  With EMOM workouts, you have 1 minute to complete a specific number of reps of a particular exercise. When you’ve completed your set of reps, you use the remainder of that minute to rest before you move on to your next set of reps. You repeat this cycle for the duration of your workout. The slower you are at completing your reps, the less time you will have to rest. It is important to keep a good tempo in order to get some recovery in before your next exercise begins. EMOM workouts are a fun, challenging, and convenient way to improve your overall fitness! 

Try this 30-minute total body EMOM HIIT Workout below.

Start a timer and complete the first exercise (12 push-ups) and then rest the remainder of the first minute. Start the second exercise at the beginning of the second minute and continue the cycle until you complete the list. Have fun!!

EMOM TOTAL BODY WORKOUT

• Minute 1: 12 Push-Ups

• Minute 2:  15 Goblet Squats

• Minute 3:  15 each Russian Twist

• Minute 4:  12 each leg reverse lunge and curl

• Minute 5: 12 Burpees
