“On the Premier Fitness Website you can click on the fitness team tab and see most of the trainers and their lists of degrees and accomplishments. I checked this section out a lot before I chose to come here, but the little paragraph about our trainers doesn’t really tell you the important stuff about them.”
“For example, it doesn’t tell you that Wayne quickly becomes like everyone’s dad. He just has that quality about him that you almost instantly know that he cares about you, why you are here and what you hope to accomplish.
He always has a smile on his face, even as he tells you to keep pushing that darn “Butcher” across the field. He also has NO sense of time. At boot camp, we will be at a station for one minute. Wayne will call 30 seconds in case you need to switch what side of the body you are working out. Wayne has the LONGEST first half 30 seconds of all time! It usually sounds something like this…”30 seconds, switch sides… 5, 4…. Okay, 10 seconds… let’s finish strong”. We tease him about this relentlessly and usually get the response…”verrry nice”.
Just like my dad, I don’t want to disappoint Wayne ever so, when I start to slack and he calls me on it, I try just the tiniest bit harder.”
“Josh is one of those guys that you wish was your big brother. He seems a little bit quiet until you get to know him and then let the sarcasm fly! He says the funniest things, but you know when you work out that he is completely sincere.
He is the first to sit on the bag you are trying to pull in, stand on the butcher if he thinks it’s too easy for you or hand you a heavier kettle bell because he remembers that you did that weight last time!
I have had so much fun getting to know Josh and hear about his family. And I can honestly say that workouts would not be the same without him. I will NEVER have bad form on a kettle bell swing – thank you Cookie!”
“Jason, Jason, Jason… I think that most of the girls here in their twenties want to marry this guy. I know the first time I met Jason he took my hands in his and asked all about me with such concern that I felt we were friends from day one. He really does care about how we are doing, both from a physical stand point and a mental one.
Jason is so much fun! He loves to tease and that means we get to tease him back. We have nicknamed him “Ken” (as in Barbie and Ken) because not only does he look like him but he drives a convertible like the one I had for my Barbie when I was little!
Sports Center with Jason has been a hoot, even if we end up changing the Ultimate Football rules every other play. If you ever see a bunch of Premier Fitness campers in the park playing some sport, Jason is the one who will be hopping into the end zone!”
“Leah is the most energetic person I have ever met! She has enough enthusiasm to power a city! Leah definitely keeps you working at boot camp and workouts, she is the first one to get down and do the exercise with you to pull you through.
She is tough when she needs to be and the first to offer a hug. She will definitely push you past the point you thought you could ever go! You can tell that she is invested in your success from the beginning and don’t be surprised to get a text message from her to check on you.
At kick boxing class, Leah gets our heart rates up and we have so much fun at the same time. We finish the last few minutes of class doing a dance party where each person gets to pick a dance move that everyone copies for one minute.
We laugh and burn calories! Leah also shares her expansive nutrition knowledge every chance she gets and that has personally helped me immensely while I have been here and preparing to go home!”
“We have more trainers that I would love to introduce to you in a post next week, but I think the most important thing to realize is that we are blessed to work with some of the most talented, caring, professional, motivating trainers in the world while at Premier Fitness Camp. I have already benefitted from working with them as far as my weight loss here at camp. I think the education I am leaving with speaks volumes more about my PFC family and how great they really are.” ~Jennifer
I am 37 years old and a mom of 4 beautiful daughters. I am a stay-at-home mom who is never HOME! I do some work from home helping my husband run his business. My weight was not a problem until I got pregnant and began having children. I have never completely lost that weight. I have tried different diets and felt like a yo-yo for the past 8 years! (see me on far right of picture)
A combination of things happened in my life to make me decide to make some major lifestyle changes and putting myself first, making healthy choices for me and my family. Please join me on my journey on several blogs: on the Premier Fitness Blog, on the TimeOutMom Blog, on the Mom It Forward Blog, and on the Today’s Mama Blog, as I do five weeks at the live-in camp and get twelve weeks of coaching and support after I return home. This is going to be life-changing! It is already life-changing!
